Be genuine. Do not impersonate others or spread false information. Honest connections are the foundation of our community.

Privacy

Respect others' privacy. Do not share personal information about someone else without their consent, and never record or screenshot video chats.

What We Prohibit

The following behaviors are strictly forbidden on NYC Chat and may result in account suspension or permanent ban:

• Harassment and Bullying Targeted harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying of any kind.
• Inappropriate Content Nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive material during video chats.
• Spam and Advertising Promoting products, services, or external websites without permission.
• Illegal Activities Discussing or facilitating illegal acts, including drug dealing, theft, or fraud.
• Personal Information Sharing Sharing your own or others' private information like addresses, phone numbers, or financial details.
• Impersonation Pretending to be someone else or creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans.
• Recording/Screenshotting Capturing or distributing images/video from chats without explicit consent from all participants.
• Underage Use Users must be 18 or older. Any content involving minors is immediately reported to authorities.

Enforcement & Reporting

We rely on our community to help identify violations. Here's how enforcement works:

• Report Function: Use the Report button during any chat to flag inappropriate behavior. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours.
• Immediate Action: For severe violations (threats, illegal content), we may suspend accounts immediately while investigating.
• Graduated Penalties: Depending on severity, violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
• Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact us via the Contact page for review.
• No Reimbursements: Banned users are not eligible for any compensation or reinstatement of privileges.
